The Tourist Police and the Protection of Antiquities Authority, Tripoli branch, announced yesterday that it had provided protection for a group of 19 Italian tourists touring Greater Tripoli in their motorhomes.
The Tourist Police and the Protection of Antiquities Authority said this comes within their role to protect cultural heritage and protect visitors to tourist attractions to promote tourism throughout Libya.
Whilst in Tripoli, the Italian tourists visited the Old City, the Castle of the Red Saraya and archaeological sites located within the administrative scope of the Tripoli Branch.
They Italian group had also visited Leptis Magna, Sabrata, the South of Libya and the Western / Nefusa Mountains.
