The Libyan British Business Council (LBBC) signed a memorandum of understanding in London yesterday with the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, the Fund reported.
The Fund described the MoU as a “strategic partnership” which contributes to strengthening cooperation between it and British institutions.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Fund by its Director General, Belgasem Khalifa Haftar, who during an LBBC organised event met, together with his accompanying delegation, with several LBBC member companies and institutions specialised in several fields.
These included companies in the: infrastructure, engineering consultancy, project management, drinking water desalination, medical services, construction and equipping of hospitals, bridges, airports, ports and other sector specialties.
The Fund also reported that Hafter met with several representatives of universities, scientific institutes, training and efficiency raising centres in several fields, where several individual and roundtable group meetings were held.
These meetings, the Fund reported, were to study the implementation of several strategic projects such as the free zone, the port of Sirte and other major projects according to the Fund’s plan set for the current year.
