The Libyan Export Promotion Centre (LEPC) reported yesterday that, at its invitation, Libyan and Tunisian companies working in the production and export of dates, in addition to several farmers and those interested in the date trade in the southern region, met in Sebha last Monday (27 January).
International specifications and markets
The meetings stressed the cooperation of the two sides in how to pay attention to this product so that it has export quantities in accordance with international specifications and to reach international markets. This, it is aimed, would be achieved through the exchange of experiences, the establishment of training courses for companies and farmers, participation in international forums side by side, and the transfer of a good image of the Libyan Tunisian experience.
Over 1,200 B2B meetings held in Tripoli and Tunisia in 2023
The LEPC pointed out that it has organised b2b meetings between Libyan and Tunisian companies in various sectors in cooperation with the Tunisian Export Promotion Centre in March 2023 in Tripoli and June 2023 in Tunisia. The meetings had resulted in an excess of 1,200 meetings between Tripoli and Tunisia.
