Libyan eastern government to build 300k bpd Tobruk refinery with foreign investors on BOT basis

The Benghazi Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture reported today that it had received a high-level Tunisian delegation headed by Taoufik Hachicha, President of the Sfax Chamber of Commerce, accompanied by Mohamed Ben Salem, Director General of the Chamber, and businessman Nabil El Hantati. The meeting comes within the framework of strengthening economic cooperation, the Chamber added.

‎Benghazi Chamber Acting Chairman, Monem Al-Saiti, held a meeting with the Tunisian delegation to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation. ‎They discussed the development of trade and investment relations, and the exchange of ideas that contribute to achieving integration between the two countries. This was especially in the fields of construction and real estate investment in light of the reconstruction boom that Libya is currently witnessing in general and Benghazi in particular.‎

‎This visit, the Chamber reports, came on the sidelines of the International Exhibition and Conference on Traffic Safety and Security Equipment being held in Benghazi.

The Tunisian delegation extended an official invitation to the Benghazi Chamber and businessmen to participate in the Mediterranean Salon for Construction and Real Estate Investment (18th session), to be held in Sfax from 21 to 24 May 2025, to develop trade partnerships between Arab, African and European countries.‎
