The Tripoli based Transport Ministry’s Airports Authority reported last Wednesday (3 July) that the baggage carousel / conveyer belt (Baggage Handling System – BHS) for Tripoli’s Mitiga airport arrived on the same day.

‎The shipment comes from the Libya Company for Airport Technology, the representative of the Spanish company ULMA, specialized in the manufacture of carousels, motors and control panels for the airport handling systems of bags and passenger luggage. This comes as part of a contract concluded by the Airports Authority with the Libya Company for Airport Technology.

‎The installation and operation of the system, the Airports Authority said, will be initiated by the supplier company in Mitiga airport’s new departure hall in preparation for the opening of the terminal as part of the Airports Authority’s plan to raise the level of services provided to passengers at Mitiga airport.

‎The Airports Authority said it is working hard to provide the technical and service needs of all airports to enable them to perform their work to the fullest to satisfy passengers and facilitate their comfort.‎
