UNDP pioneers training programmes for skilled workforce and sustainable greener economy

The UNDP Libya announced that working closely with the Libyan Korean Centre and local stakeholders, it has pioneered five key training programmes to create a skilled workforce equipped to sustain a greener economy in Libya.

The five training programmes are in:

  1. Energy assessment and innovative building programme
  2. Recycling skills
  3. Municipal waste management programme
  4. Environmental health and safety programme
  5. Circular economy entrepreneurship programme

The initiative, announced by the UNDP on 15 April, is part of UNDP’s Local Peacebuilding and Resilience efforts supporting job creation for youth. It is implemented together with the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation through support from the Republic of Korea.
