Libya’s Public Prosecution has ordered the detention of three officials from the Financial Affairs Department at Tripoli University Hospital (TUH), for receiving a one-million-dinar bribe in exchange for paying what the TUH owes a contractor.
The matter involves the accused refusing to pay the TUH’s contracted catering company, diminishing the standard of meals at the hospitals, in order to coerce the contracted company for the bribe. The Public Prosecution Office said three others were involved in the crime.
