Greece based Marathon Airlines is offering free return tickets on its inaugural Benghazi to Athens route.

The new route will start on 2 March. Travellers must have a valid Schengen visa.

The second flight is scheduled for 15 March and the third flight will be on 20 April. From April tickets can be purchased from IATA travel agents and online.

The tickets may be prohibitive for the average Libya though. A one-way premium ticket is priced at € 600, and the return is € 1,000. A one-way economy ticket is priced at € 400 with the return at € 700.
