The head of the European Union Border Assistance Mission in Libya (EUBAM), Natalina Cea, delivered Saturday high-quality first aid medical equipment to the Libyan Border Guards (part of the Ministry of Defence).
EUBAM reported that the first aid medical equipment is to complement the training of the trainer sessions delivered by the EUBAM ‘‘to enhance the operational capacity of the Border Guards in challenging contexts.’’
Cea also discussed, in a meeting with the leaders of the Border Guards, the prospects for future cooperation on border security and surveillance.
Today, EUBAM reported that it had handed over the second consignment of high-quality first-aid medical equipment to the Specialized Training Institute of the Ministry of Interior to support the operational capacity of the Libyan officers ‘‘while conducting challenging operations.’’
