Tatneft discusses resuming its exploration wells in Libya and preparing its concessions

London, 4 October 2021:

Abu Algasim Shingeer, member of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) Board of Directors for Exploration and Production, met yesterday, Albert Saviolin, CEO of Tatneft Company Libya and Naji Maatouq, Deputy CEO of the company, at the NOC’s headquarters in preparation for Tatneft’s return to implement its remaining exploration programme, the NOC reported.

The NOC said Tatneft will hold a meeting tomorrow with service companies to coordinate with them to start their operations in the Hamada area (Pre spud meeting), and the company is working on preparing the final appraisal report for the plot, which will be submitted to the NOC for approval of the commercial viability of the plot.

It was agreed to continue coordinating with the relevant NOC departments and the owners committee to facilitate the procedures for their return to implement the remaining approved works and work programmes.
