The Maltese Embassy in Tripoli announced yesterday that it had signed a contract with VFS Global to facilitate processing visa applications for Libyan citizens in Tripoli.
The Embassy said operations are expected to commence on the 29th of August 2021.
However, it added, due to the current COVID pandemic situation, visas will only be accepted for essential travel, and according to EU Council recommendations for purposes such as business, re-union of family members of EU, medical and education.
It also pointed out that local Maltese health restrictions must also to be considered.
