Tunisian Customs announced Saturday the official launch of the unified customs window for commercial operations at the in Ras Jedir land border crossing. The announcement was made during a signing ceremony between the two respective customs authorities in Djerba.
It was also announced during this meeting that a unified window for passengers will be activated ‘‘in the near future’’.
‘‘Many measures were taken to further facilitate the movement of goods and travellers between the two countries’’, the Tunisian Customs Authority reported.
It will be recalled that the move improve the processing of goods and people at the border crossing comes on the back of top level meetings and visits by politicians to improve economic cooperation between the two countries.
