London, 9 March 2021:
The Maltese Ambassador, Charles Saliba, arrived in Libya on Saturday (6 March) to open the Maltese Consulate in Tripoli and begin carrying out his diplomatic duties, the Tripoli Foreign Ministry confirmed yesterday.
The Ministry reminded that Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala had received the Maltese ambassador in late January, and that the two sides agreed on the importance of speeding up the reopening of the Maltese embassy in Tripoli and overcoming all difficulties to complete its technical preparation for the issuance of Maltese visas from it.
