London, 7 July 2020:
Benghazi Municipality and head of the eastern Libya ‘‘Interim Government’s’’ General Authority for Transport agreed yesterday to take a number of measures related to the maintenance, expansion and development of the facilities at (Benghazi’s) Benina International Airport.
The measures include the maintenance, modification and expansion of the existing arrivals hall, maintenance of the airstrip, public works department, public workshop and the flow of baggage.
The works will include the supply of surveillance cameras, inspection equipment and generators, maintenance of all facilities within the airport and the provision of all requirements for the optimal functioning of the airport.
It will be recalled that the eastern ‘‘Interim Prime Minister of Libya’’ Abdullah al-Thinni had directed the maintenance, expansion and development of all the airport’s facilities, to ensure its full operation.
