Benghazi, 20 September 2017:
After a two-month suspension of all its services, Buraq Air today started flying again between Benghazi and Tripoli. There are three flights a day in both directions.
There is no news so far about recommencing flights to Tunis. The airline has said, however, it plans to restart services to Tobruk and Labraq from Tripoli, but no dates have been given.
For the moment, Buraq is using just one plane, a Boeing 737 which returned to Tripoli last week after a four-month overhaul in Istanbul. A second 737 is still being overhauled and without it no additional flights would be possible unless one of the Benghazi-Tripoli flights were stopped.
