A video posted on social media purportedly showing Libyan National Army (LNA) members forcing a man to praise Field Marshal Khalifa Hafter is being investigated, according to a senior LNA source.
He said that Hafter had personally ordered those involved to be detained.
The video, posted on Friday, shows the man, said to be a member of the Magharba tribe, being repeatedly beaten by four LNA soldiers and forced to declared that Hafter was “his lord”.
The LNA are reported to have made a number of arrested in the Ajdabiya area, the main base of the Magharba tribe, following the takeover of Ras Lanuf and Sidra by the Benghazi Defence Brigades.
