Tripoli, 4 September 2016:
The seafront café that was the location for the BBC interview with Qaddafi during the revolution in which he famously declared Libyans loved him was destroyed in a fire on Saturday night.
The cause of the fire is unknown although the fire brigade say they believe it to have been deliberate.
The café, overlooking the harbour and opposite the Wataniya TV station, belonged to a Qaddafi supporter and had been closed since the revolution, although there had been private events there.
