The President of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ageela Saleh, has appointed a new in-house Libya Dialogue committee. It comes ahead this week’s meetings in Tunis of the Dialogue organised by the UN Suppoirt Mission in Libya (UNSMIL). They are scehduled to take place on Monday and Tuesday.
At a press conference this afternoon, HoR spokesperson Abdullah Belihiq said that Saleh had sent a letter to UN Special Envoy Martin Kobler about the formation of the committee.
His new list comprises 13 names. It includes that of deputy HoR president Emhemed Shouaib who headed the HoR’s Dialogue team in the past.
The other 12 are: Ayman Mabruk, Fahmi Twati, Abubakr Milad, Sadeq Idris, Fathi Ghabbasi, Naser Eddin Mahana, Ezziden Ghwerib, Saleh Fahima, Musbah Douma, Saleh Huma, Muftah Ghwider and Salhin Abudlnabi.
Several are reported heading to Tunis for the Dialogue meeting although the HoR’s team at the talks is expected, as before, to comprise no more than four members and be at the choosing not of the HoR but of UNSMIL.
Presidency Council head Faiez Serraj is expected to join the discussions on Tuesday.
