A man in his seventies has been kidnapped near Warshefana and is being held for a million dinar ransom.
Relatives of Alhaji Suleiman allege that his abductors are a gang from the town. No details of Suleiman’s seizure have been released.
Local kidnappers have demonstrated their ruthlessness. In May when a family of a young boy was unable to raise even the reduced ransom eventually agreed by the criminals, they murdered the boy and called his father telling him where his son’s body could be found.
