Tripoli, 1 April 2016:
A news blackout has been imposed on the sinking of two trawlers near Misrata which . . .[restrict]were suspected to have been running supplies to the Benghazi Revolutionaries’ Shoura Council.
The fishing vessels are believed to have been sunk on Wednesday evening after limpet mines were attached to them as they lay alongside the quay at the Libyan Iron and Steel Company’s (LISCO) port outside the city.
Photographs of the wrecks have been forbidden and the authorities have refused to make any official comment. There has been no indication as to who might have been responsible for the vessels’ destruction. However sources in the city say that both fishing boats were known to be operated by supporters of the BRSC. [/restrict]
