Benghazi, 4 January 2016:
A suicide truck bomb is believed to have been used to open an attack of the . . .[restrict]oil export terminal at Sidra this morning. Petroleum Facilities Guards from Brega are being sent to Sidra which was assaulted unsuccessfully by Libya Dawn forces from Misrata until last February.
This is not the first IS attack on Sidra. Last October gunmen shot up a checkpoint outside the town, killing two guards. The terminal is only 50 kilometres from Nufaliya, seized by IS last summer.
