Amongst the various issues raised was that of those who have had to moved to the town because of the fighting in Obari. The number is put at 846 people. A committee has been formed to address their problems.
On security, council members were told that a number of people were being trained to join the local police and that plans were in hand to reduce crime.
According to the mayor, Ghat has gone through an even more difficult year than many other municipalities because it has been effectively cut off throughout the period and this had led to a major deterioration in services. [/restrict]
