Tripoli, 21 May 2015:
Several people were injured, some seriously, when a suicide car bomber detonated his vehicle near . . .[restrict]a barracks on the eastern outskirts of Harawa.
The vehicle approached the town yesterday from the direction of Nufaliya which was seized by IS forces in March. It exploded near a checkpoint. A remarkable picture (above) posted on social media, is said to show the moment the explosives went off.
Seven days ago IS launched an early morning raid on the Harawa, in which they captured two young men before being beaten off by the defenders. At least one of the attackers was killed.
Back in Nufaliya the terrorists beheaded their prisoners and put the heads on public display. Harawa which is predominantly Awlad Suleiman has been under threat since an Ansar Al-Sharia leader from Tunisia was killed two months ago in an engagement near the town. The terrorists have vowed to avenge his death.
