Tobruk, 18 May 2015:
A group of pensioners this morning demonstrated outside the naval base in Tobruk where the . . .[restrict]House of Representatives (HoR) currently meets in formal session. Carrying unpaid bills for medications and other needs, they claimed that they had not been paid for several weeks and demanded action.
Benghazi HoR member Ahmed Shayhub met with them and reportedly told them that he was resolve the problem.
Meanwhile, HoR staff who work at the hall used by the parliament were refused entry today to the base. Citing security needs, the guards insisted that the presidency of the HoR provide them with an up-to-date list of who was working for it and therefore needed access. Until they were given a list, they said, no one would be allowed in. [/restrict]
