Benghazi, 9 May 2015:
Far from being all . . .[restrict]guns and killing, life in many parts of Benghazi is again getting back to normal with a number of community events, the most recent being a book fair. It drew large crowds.
A group of the city’s youth organised the fair and advertised it on social media, using the name Book Lovers.
The fair, held this week at a school in the Hadaiq district, included works of literature, science and other genres. Children had the opportunity to show off their knowledge in various competitions.
Many who attended expressed appreciation for the event on the group’s social networking site, saying that they wished it had been longer and expressing hopes that other exhibitions will be held.
