Ghariyan, 4 April 2015:
The Organisation for Transparency, a group dedicated to ensuring financial transparency in government, says it plans to carry . . .[restrict]out an audit of the municipalities of Ghariyan, Tobruk, Zuwara, Sabratha, Beida and Sebha during April.
The group will be checking to see that the different municipalities are in compliance with national finance and accounting law as dictated by the State.
In order to provide proper training for municipal employees in the financial sector, the organisation will also conduct workshops in each municipality.
The workshop in Ghariyan will be held on 13-14 April, while the dates of the other trainings are yet to be determined, said member of the organisation, Abdul Hamid Al-Gario.
