The radio station, Voice of Free Jufra, has just run a campaign to bring in money . . .[restrict]and essential items for the internally displaced people sheltering in the town. Working with the Hun and Jufra branches of the Libyan Red Crescent, the station has run a 12-hour fund-raising marathon for the 470 refugee families most of whom have fled from Benghazi, Sirte, Ben Jawed and Obari.
The 12-hour long fund-raiser produced LD 16,000 as well as food, blankets, clothing, furniture, mattresses, health supplies, infant formula and cleaning products.
