Benghazi, 15 April 2015:
Benghazi mayor Omar Barasi, accompanied by the chairman of the Board of Health Ali Barq and . . .[restrict]Municipal Guard Commander Younis Al-Orafy, inspected the conditions of two Benghazi health facilities today.
The first stop was the Al-Majouri Dialysis Clinic where they were not impressed by the condition of the dialysis machines and other equipment. Barasi issued urgent instructions to take the necessary steps to get the clinic fully -unctioning within ten days. It is not known what the staffing levels or supplies are needed to make that happen.
The mayor and his colleagues then visited the Benghazi Children’s Hospital. They toured the Surgical and Neonatal departments, as well as the kidney and dialysis section and the outpatient clinic. The mayor asked the clinic manager to make list the problems he faced to get the hospital functioning properly and submit requests to the municipality by Thursday.
The mayor made a point of expressing appreciation for the work all the staff’s work at the hospital.
