Tripoli, 25 April 2015:
Two men, thought to be migrants, died today in Sebha while were apparently trying to steal . . .[restrict]high-voltage electricity cables. Neither man had any identity papers.
It is unclear whether they were electrocuted when they sought to use heavy-duty wire cutters to sever a live cable, or were crushed when the tower toppled over after they had climbed up it.
Pictures circulating on social media suggest they were from a sub-Saharan country. Their bodies were taken to Sebha hospital.
