Malta, 15 March 2015:

Zintan airport was bombed by Libya Dawn aircraft on Saturday, the pro House of Representative . . .[restrict]LANA news agency reports.

LANA’s Zintan correspondent reported that three aircraft targeted the civilian airport with what he referred to as new type of high explosive bombs not used in previous air raids.

However, he reported that the bombs which had landed on the runway had failed to cause any damage to property or cause any injury to any people.

Some of the bombs had failed to detonate, the report stated, and were subsequently destroyed in a controlled detonation.

The report noted that on Friday a Libyan Airline flight had arrived at Zintan civilian airport and returned to Al-Beida’s Labrak airport. [/restrict]
