Ghariyan, 9 March 2015:
Stocks of medicines and children’s vaccines are dwindling at the Ghariyan complex, Director of the . . .[restrict]Mothers and Children’s Medical Complex Abdul Wahid Hadi has said.
According to Hadi, the clinics are especially lacking in the vaccines administered to babies at 18 months, as well as medicines to treat diabetes and anxiety. They are also dangerously low on sterilisation equipment.
The Ministry of Health has been notified of the shortages, Hadi said, but there has not yet been a response to the problems.
Nevertheless, the complex is moving forward with plans to expand, Hadi revealed. They will open a neurology clinic in the near future which will accept patients on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday. In addition to this, the women’s clinic will receive updated equipment within days.
Personnel at the Mothers and Children’s Medical Complex have administered over 16,000 vaccines of all varieties since the complex opened. [/restrict]
