Tripoli, 6 February 2015:
Gunmen in Tajoura have detained a contingent of fighters from Libya Dawn, along with the weapons, armoured . . .[restrict]vehicles and ammunition they were carrying, all of which was said to be destined to support the western front of Libya Dawn’s armed conflicts.
The event, reported by local media, was supposedly in retaliation for the capture of a number of young men from Tajoura last week. They were reportedly seized by Libya Dawn forces and imprisoned in Misrata.
For its part, Libya Dawn accuses Tajoura residents of supporting Operation Dignity and Khalifa Hafter. They in turn state they want a legitimate police force and army and areported saying they will release the Libya Dawn men and supplies only when their “sons” are released from the Misrata prison.
Libya Dawn forces are now reported on social media to have threatened to retaliate for the Tajoura abductions by attacking the Al-Rabha camp of the 101 Battalion of the Libyan Army. They also reported saying they will try to capture all Operation Dignity supporters. [/restrict]
