Tripoli, 14 December 2014:
Libyan journalists who have fled to Tunisia have set up a group to highlight violations against . . .[restrict]both themselves and against their colleagues who continue to work in Libya.
They hope that this new, as yet unnamed body, through its publicity work, will provide some protection to media professionals.
Backed by the local UNESCO office in Tunis, the group will also have the wider aim of supporting the freedom and independence of the media and promoting its role in the defence of democracy and civil liberties.
