Benghazi, 19 December 2014:
Government forces defending the oil terminals of Es Sidra and Ras Lanuf received what an army . . .[restrict]spokesman described as a “morale-boosting visit ” today from Saiqa Special forces commander Wanis Bukhamada and Petroleum Facilities Guard chief Ibrahim Jadhran.
They were joined by Saiqa Special Investigations Unit commander Fadel Al-Hassi.
The army spokesman told the Libya Herald that no air raids were mounted in and around Es Sidra and Ben Jawad today. Instead, troops continued to consolidate their positions to the west of Ben Jawad. He said that once the initial Libya Dawn attack had been checked last week, it had made no advances but had actually pulled back. [/restrict]
