Tripoli, 25 November 2014:
Tripoli’s Mitiga Airport has this morning been hit by at least one more airstrike. The airport . . .[restrict]has warned travellers to stay away. It said on its Facebook page that all the passengers who were already checking in or in the departure lounges are safe.
After yesterday evening’s air attack, arriving flights were diverted to Misrata. But some planes, including a Medavia flight to Malta, did take off later last night, when the airport management declared that it was business as usual and announced a schedule of flights for today.
There are no confirmed details of this second bombing. Libya Dawn has said that yesterday’s attack had done no damage to the airport but had hit a nearby house, injuring a woman and her daughter. [/restrict]
