Tripoli, 26 November 2014:
Mitiga airport has this evening denied reports that it is about to reopen for flights. The airport . . .[restrict]management used its Facebook page to say that there was no truth in rumours that flights would be landing this evening.
It referred specifically to Afriqiyah and Libyan Airlines flights from Istanbul which it said would again be landing in Misrata rather than Mitiga.
It asked everyone to wait and not preempt an official announcement on the resumption of Mitiga flights. It appears that the report that triggered the rumour may actually came from the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority. [/restrict]
