Libyan women activists gathered this week in Cairo at the Arab League headquarters to discuss the . . .[restrict]protection of women’s rights in the new constitution.
The women met Arab League Special Envoy for Libya Nasser Al-Kidwa and Arab Leauge Director of Women’s Programmes Enas Mekkawi.
The encounter was organised by the Women’s Empowerment Section of UNSMIL, under the leadership of Magda El Sanousi, in cooperation with the Swedish Institute Alexandria, UN Women and the Arab League. [/restrict]
