Lawyer from Prosecutor’s office kidnapped in Benghazi

Benghazi, 1 May 2014:

A lawyer working in the General Prosecutor’s office was kidnapped this afternoon as he left a . . .[restrict]cafe in Benghazi’s Kish district.

Named as Fahad Jamal Abdulsaid Ismail, he was taken by four masked men from his car which was left abandoned.

Ismail, aged  32 and married with one child, had run unsuccessfully as a candidate in the city’s Hadaiq district in  the municipal council elections on 19 April.
