Benghazi, 21 May 2014:
The body of a murdered Chinese construction worker has been taken to Benghazi Medical Centre (BMC) . . .[restrict]after he was found dumped in the city’s Gar Younis district yesterday.
A doctor at BMC told the Libya Herald that the man’s body had arrived at the hospital  at 10 am. He was identified as Ong Chi Tong. The doctor added that he had been shot once in the head and once in the thigh. He was 49 years old.
The Chinese news agency Xinhua has reported that Tong was one of three workers from a Chinese construction company, abducted from their worksite on Wednesday. His two colleagues were released.
Also in Benghazi today a Palestinian national made an attempt on the life of a Benghazi Security Directorate official. He shot another member of the security force in the leg during his arrest. He is now being held in custody.
