The government has denied rumours circulating that the kidnapped Jordanian ambassador to Libya has been released.
The Ministry of . . .[restrict]Interior said that Fawwaz Al-EItan, who was kidnapped five days ago in Tripoli, had not been released, according to Libyan news agency LANA.
In a statement on its website, the Ministry of Justice also denied that any announcements had been made with regard to Eitan and any urged the media to verify sources before publishing news. [/restrict]
