Tripoli, 27 April 2014:
A decomposing and headless body discovered on a beach near Sirte is believed to be that of an . . .[restrict]illegal immigrant lost at sea, a coastguard official said.
Coast-guard patrol commander Mohamed Al-Ameesh said all evidence indicated that body, found half-buried beneath sand on the beach some 40 km west of Sirte, was that of an illegal immigrant trying to get to Europe.
In the last month, Sirte security officials had found four bodies in similar conditions, he said, including one woman who still remained unidentified.
The body was transferred to a local hospital. [/restrict]
