The son of Benghazi doctor and media personality Awad Al-Gweri was murdered by gunmen outside his . . .[restrict]home last night in Benghazi’s Sidi Hussein district.
The spokesman for Benghazi Joint Security Room, Ibrahim Sharaa, told the Libya Herald that the body of the young man, Abdul Raouf Al-Gweri, had been taken at Al-Jelaa Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. He had been shot several times in the chest.
Three months ago Abdul Raouf found a bomb beneath his father’s car which was later successfully defused by the authorities.
It is not known if his murder was politically motivated.
