The first batch of some 300 officials who arrived in Tunisia last month completed their training last week and there was a “graduation” ceremony in Hammamet attended by the Libya’s Deputy Prime Minister and acting Interior Minister, Sadiq Abdulkarim.
The training is part of moves to strengthen joint cooperation on security between Tunisia and Libya and raise the competences of Libyan officials .
During his visit last week to Tunisia, Abdulkarim met with the Tunisian President, Moncef Marzouki and discussed security issues.
The Libya Herald tried to contact the Libyan Ministry of Interior about the training but no one was available for comment. [/restrict]
