Tripoli, 20 November 2013:
The Commander of Benghazi Joint Security Room Abdullah Saiti today announced the appointment of a . . .[restrict]new spokesman for the BJSR.
Ibrahim Al-Sharaa, will be the third spokesman within four months. A lieutenant in the military judiciary, Al-Sharaa has been serving in the military prosecutor’s office in eastern Libya.
His predecessor Abdullah Zaidi quit his post on Monday saying that he had not been receiving regular information with which to update media sources, nor had he managed to be in contact with Saiti for twenty days.
“I announced my resignation from my post because of the deteriorating security situation in Benghazi,” said Zaidi, “because the authorities do not support security bodies in the city”.
