It was being reported this evening that a group men has been arrested in Benghazi, on . . .[restrict]suspicion of being responsible for the recent murder campaign against serving and former police and army officers.
The spokesman for the Benghazi Joint Operations Room, Abdullah Zeidi told the TV channel Libya Al-Hurrah that the arrests had been made at a location near a cement plant, believed to be the Libya Cement Company’s works.
Zeidi promised that the media would be taken to the scene of the arrests tomorrow morning. Though he referred to a battalion of revolutionary fighters as having undertaking the raid, he did not identify the unit. It has however been said that the men arrested are all from Africa and that the majority is from Chad. [/restrict]
