Benghazi, 24 October 2103:
Special Forces arrested two men who opened fire at Ras Obeida police station following clashes . . .[restrict]last night between members of the Special Forces and the armed assailants, according to local news agency Akhbar Benghazi Al-Youm. One of the two is being detained by the Special Forces while the other, who was injured during the clashes, is being held at a city hospital. The two assailants are alleged to have previous criminal records.
An armed group also opened fire at Sabri police station using heavy weapons but managed to flee the scene before the arrival of Special Forces.
Meanwhile, an unidentified man was the victim of what was believed to be a hit-and-run incident last night near Benghazi’s Tibesti Hotel. The body was taken to Aljlaa Hospital in Ras Obeida district. An investigation to establish the dead man’s identity is underway. [/restrict]
