A petrol station in central Tripoli was attacked and robbed at gunpoint by a gang in . . .[restrict]the middle of the day on Wednesday despite the presence next door of armed security guards protecting the illegal immigration investigation department of the Interior Ministry.
The thieves, in two Isuzu pick-up trucks, managed to steal LD 60,000 in cash from the petrol station in Shara Ennasr.
They also took away petrol vouchers worth LD 16,000 and an unspecified number of cases of cans of engine oil. [/restrict]
