Tripoli, 18 July 2013:
In a move designed to stabilise an area rocked by tribal clashes, local elders have helped reopen the . . .[restrict]road between Mizdah and Fassatu.
The route had been closed since early March, following a spate of violent clashes.
Obstacles rendering the road impassable for over five months have been removed, according to Libyan news agency LANA.
The move, by the tribal elders of Mizdah, is intended to reduce tensions between the warring sides and pave the way for harmony and cohesion in the area. [/restrict]
