Passengers heading from Tripoli to . . .[restrict]Egypt had a remarkable escape early yesterday morning when their bus careered off a bridge 50 kilomtres east of Sirte after one of its tyres burst.
Twenty of the 44 on board – 42 Egyptians, a Libyan and Syrian – were injured and taken to the Ibn Sina hospital in Sirte.
Traffic police have said that the burst tyre was the result of bad roads and speeding. [/restrict]
