Algeria “commited to strengthening relations with Libya”

In a congratulatory message to the President of the General National Congress, Mohamed Magarief, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Libyan revolution, Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has reaffirmed his country’s commitment to strengthening friendship and good neighbourliness with Libya, according to the Algerian news agency APS.

“It gives me great pleasure when Libya celebrates the 2nd anniversary of the revolution, to present, on behalf of the Algerian people and on my own behalf, my best wishes, praying Almighty God grant you health and well-being and further progress and prosperity to your brotherly people,” wrote President Bouteflika in his message.

“I am convinced that the brotherly Libyan people continue to work for the dedication of democracy, pluralism and the construction of its new state and they will take with maturity and responsiblity the next steps for the completion of its construction and institutional reform,” said Bouteflika.

“I also take this opportunity to reaffirm my desire to strengthen relations of friendship and good neighborly relations between our two countries, to raise our bilateral cooperation to a higher level of excellence while reiterating our commitment to you to support your efforts to ensure a prosperous and flourishing future for Libya.” [/restrict]
